    I agree. Leave her alone. Where does it say that a requirement to be a singer or anything in Hollywood you have to thin. Talent should out way how anyone looks and Talent she has. I can't believe we still live in a world that is so critical of someones appearance.

    my god, you both are definitely right. it's absolutely pathetic how critical we are these days? like with jessica simpson? WHO CARES? yes, talent should definitely out-weigh image. and again, who cares? no one wants to be kate moss skinny. rail thin isn't in. people need to get their heads out of their asses and stop caring so much. i'm pretty sure if you stopped at the mall, you would see more people her size, than you would kate moss sized. jeeez.

    You are wrong. Her appearance shows a lack of respect for herself. Unless she has a medical condition that caused her to balloon out like that, she needs to really stop her singing and focus on her HEALTH! Being overweight is NOT healthy and will NOT allow her to sing professionally for very long.

    I feel so bad for her seeing her like this. I really hope she isn't going through a personal crisis.

    Kelly is F-A-T period. While you don't *need* a sexy body in the music world you do need it for the TV world that made her famous. Her voice isn't great enough that people are going to simply overlook how badly she's let herself go. Jennifer Hudson was fat so she can stay fat and still sell records and concert tickets. Kelly needs to either come clean that's she's pregnant or hire a trainer ASAP!

    Phigment- explain again why it's o.k. for J Hud to be fat and not Kelly? Because Jennifer got fat a long time ago, she gets the o.k. I don't get it. I just wish people would leave the girl alone. She's got a great voice, and terrific personality, and is one of the sweetest people you'd ever want to meet, I just don't get all the people that want to slam her for her weight. It's her body, and her business. She is here to entertain us, not model for us.
    I think her biggest problem is what she wears. It seems to highlight her weight. She just needs a stylist.

    She may be on steroids to keep her voice strong from all the touring. And if so, well that just may be why she has put a few ounds on (I wouldn't say she's gained more than 30lbs, in the past two years). And besides, she's meant to be heard, not looked at! But either way she's a beautiful girl!

    It's pretty sad that the media has to "find" something to dis' her about. Kelly just minds her own business and puts out great music. I don't blame her for living in Texas away from the parasite media. Her fans don't care about anything but the fact that she is a fantastic musician who seems as down to earth now as the person who first entered American Idol. Her fans love her and that's all that matters! Keep putting out great music Kelly!

    She's 5' 2" if your pushing it! any amount of weight gain is going to look huge on her! plus, the metabolism naturally changes in the late twenties early thertees. Top expect her to look exactly the same for the rest of her life is asinine! i'd like to see you guys look as good as kelly! leave her alone! and Phigment, she's has one of the best voices in the business, we should focus on her talent not her body. christ!

    John Lennon once discribed himself as going through a FAT ELVIS period, but he lost the extra weight. Also the great singer Billie Holiday gained a lot of weight a couple times, but always lost the pounds. I'm pretty sure Kelly will do the same once the fall tour gets her back in shape.

    By the way, her new album is AMAZING...and isn't that all that really matters.

    How long has she been promoting her single? Look at the youtube video...if this was like end of 2008/beginning of 2009 then she gained a LOT of weight recently. Can you even gain that much weight in a short amount of time w/o being pregnant or having medical issues??

    The majority of you are so awesome with your comments. It reaffirms to me that we're still moving in the right direction of tolerance and acceptance for different kinds of looks. There's no such thing as a "perfect" body or a certain look that everyone agrees is "beautiful". We all have different opinions.

    She is still so talented and still totally cute! It is perfectly fine to think she's cute, too. So what if other people don't agree.

    Kelly, your music is super fun and you're making a ton of money doing something you obviously love. Lucky!

    Seriously? Who cares? Kelly is an amazing singer and is very talented. No matter if she is pregnant or has just gained weight, I don't care. I still love her. I'm still going to continue to love her and buy her music. For those of you saying if she's gained weight she needs to hire a trainer...uh no she doesn't. People aren't going to stop loving her because she's big. Get real. For those that are saying if she's pregnant she needs to just come clean...she doesn't have to do that either. Her life is her life and if she doesn't want to make something public she doesn't have to. Stop obsessing over what celebs do...sheesh.

    New album is actually pretty good, and I never expected to say that of Kelly. However, if she wants to be a pop star, she should drop a few lbs. She is a good singer, but probably not good enough to look like that. No one wants to look at a "tuna can" on stage.

    If gaining weight is the worst we ever hear about kelly, then I say "Go on woman, and keep doin' your thang". From what I know, she is a decent, mature, respectful and professional woman. At least she is not a self-absorbed, self-destructive, foul mouthed, obnoxious, conceited, attention seeking, needy, etcetera, etcetera brat (Lindsay, Brittany, Jessica). Just goes to show you, even those who are well adjusted and low-keyed, will always find criticism by knuckleheads that just have to say something negative. Knuckleheads usually have low self-esteem themselves, hence the negativity. Knuckleheaditis isn't usually, but can be contagious so stay clear.
