I think it is very smart to start shooting Eclipse next month, It gives the cast and crew more time to get the job done, I think there was a lot of pressure when filming New Moon and it went so quickly, Catherine Hardwick turned it down because of the time constraints, and Eclipse has a few very intricate scenes with so many characters (the fight scene near the end happens in 3 different places, I'm sure David Slade will show all three) which will require a lot of extra set-up time etc
